Dear Encinal Families,
Welcome to the new school year!
I hope you have all enjoyed your summers and are ready for another great year at Encinal Elementary School. This year I, Jill Vizas, will serve as the PTO President. Many thanks to Winnie Root and Erin Reyes for a wonderful last year.
The PTO has a lot planned this year that will serve to further enhance our children’s elementary school experience and build a tighter Encinal Community. We are looking forward to building on the success of some great new community-building events from last year, like the Father/Daughter Dance and Mother/Son Jamboree and enhancing favorites like the Fall Family Picnic and Family Science Night! Additionally, the PTO will continue to support classroom libraries, offer hot lunch, food for thought in the classrooms, the garden program, all assemblies, field trips, speech and debate, classroom supplies, and cultural arts day, to name a few.
Some of our annual community building events being planned for this year are:
Fall Family Picnic (Sept 25)
Book Fair (Oct 12 - 15)
Father/daughter dance (Feb 6)
Encinal Family Science Night (April 29)
Mother/Son Dances (May 7)
Last year, we once again made our fundraising goal! On behalf of the PTO, we want to express our gratitude to the families who went above and beyond the suggested contribution of $250 per child. This makes a huge difference in the educational experience of every child at Encinal school. We can assure you the PTO is focusing its support on the areas that impact our children's learning experience the most.
We count on every family’s involvement and investment at the level that is comfortable for you. We know there are many places for you to donate money and we appreciate your willingness to help fund these amazing programs and services for our children.
We look forward to a great year with your family and appreciate your support.
